The Malaysian government announced on 10 October 2021 that interstate and international travel will be resumed, effective 11 October 2021. Only fully vaccinated passengers are allowed to move in and out of the country. It was also announced that fully jabbed Malaysians will not be required to apply for the MyTravelPass scheme in order to travel overseas.
Malaysia has successfully shifted into the endemic stage with a significantly large percentage of population fully vaccinated, but is still insisting on following the COVID 19 prevention protocols stringently.
Travellers returning to the country must go through the mandatory quarantine period.
