Hong Kong opens the World’s first Meme Museum | Travelxp

9GAG, a popular online humor platform, has teamed up with K11 art mall to launch the world’s first meme museum in Hong Kong. The museum features more than 100 of the latest and funniest memes from around the world.

It provides an interactive experience through visuals, 3D models, and even scent. Visitors can tour seven main zones, which highlight both local and world-famous memes, covering everything from ‘Salt Bae’ and ‘Disaster Girl’ to ‘Troll Face’.

Memes from different decades have made it to the museum, some of which include “Doge,” “Success Kid,” “Drake,” and “Distracted Boyfriend.” Other memes that made it to the exhibition were “Wojak Feels Guy,” and “Yao Ming Face”.

The pièce de résistance of the museum is the four-grid Snapio photobooth at “Meme Me – Hong Kong’s First Instant Meme Photobooth” which allows guests to star in custom-made memes.

Muhammad Samir Akhtar, better known as the “Disappointed Pakistani Fan,” whose hilarious reaction to Pakistan losing ICC World Cup 2019 by 41 runs against Australia made everyone laugh, has also made it to the museum. He took his excitement to Twitter,
