Even as countries continue to battle the deadly virus, governments and the travel and tourism industry in general are now looking to rebuild and reemerge from the crisis. Stakeholders acknowledge that while the recovery for travel and tourism will be lengthy and complicated, they’ve also talked at length about how the travel tourism aviation and hospitality sector will now emerge looking vastly different than what it was before Covid-19.
Delving on these topics in a session aptly titled ‘The Future of Travel’, the second edition of ET Global Townhall, taking place from October 20-21, will be hosting industry leaders – Willie Walsh, Director General of International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Julia Simpson, President and CEO, World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), to help chart the road ahead for travel recovery and resurgence. On October 22, Walsh will be heard speaking about the world finally opening its borders in a fireside chat with Peden Doma Bhutia, Editor, ETTravelWorld, while Simpson in her special address will be talking about Covid and its after-effects.
